Dan was 22 and had just got out of the Army. He had been on the run from Jesus and His plan for his life. Meeting some Japanese kids through a home stay program at church was what God used to turn his life around. They were without Jesus and had no hope of eternal life. God called Dan that summer into learning about Japan and the Japanese language. The following year Dan met Mihoko and they were married after a year and a half in 1991. The call of God was always there through years of preparation at CCCM and severe trials. Their first born 3 year old son Caleb went to be with the Lord after waiting for a heart transplant. Then their third born daughter was diagnosed with the same disease 10 months after Caleb's death. She had a heart transplant in 2005 at the age of 4. The next year in 2006, Dan was invited by Pastor Gary Kusunoki to visit Japan hosting a training conference. The call of God became intense and Dan was convinced they were to be ministering in Japan. In 2008, they quit their businesses and moved to Japan and started Calvary Chapel Iruma. Dan has since been diagnosed with the same disease as his kids but in a less severe form. God in his grace is adding to His church. We are currently beginning a work with addiction recovery. Please continue to pray for us.
