The ministry here is a normal church in a very poor neighborhood. We have a thriving youth group that meets every Friday night. Many of them are involved in worship and children's ministry on Sundays also. Besides that, we have normal Sunday services (with Sunday school for the kids) and midweek services, as well as a weekly prayer service on Tuesday nights. On an average Sunday, we see about 50-80 kids and about 40 adults. Our main outreach to the community is actually our primary school, grades K-6. The parents are so poor here that they cannot pay the whole cost of the school; so the church pays roughly 65% of the costs. We have 130 students, and they all receive instruction in the Bible and in the subject of English as well as in normal subjects required in Nicaragua. All of our teachers are Christian locals, as is the school principal. Please be in prayer for our community, our school, the church and for us as well.
