Meet the Randall Family!

Meet Pete, Kendra, Canon and Esther Randall!

Pete grew up in southern California and attended Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. During high school Pete and his family moved to Brandon to be close to family and serve at our sending church, Calvary Chapel Brandon. At the age of 18, Pete started to sense the call to ministry and began to serve in various ways in the church. Pete served at Calvary Chapel Brandon for eleven years, six of those years being the Youth Pastor/Assistant Pastor and Media Director. The last five years that Pastor Pete served in Brandon, he felt called and had a burden to plant a church in Edmonton. In 2015, Pete, his wife Kendra and their son Canon moved to Edmonton, Alberta to plant Citizens Church. Pastor Pete is blessed to serve as Senior Pastor at Citizens Church Edmonton and his heart is to teach and preach the whole Bible, to make disciples and to see God's people grow deep in their relationships with Jesus. Since moving to Canada, they welcomed their daughter, Esther Randall and have continued to faithfully serve the people and community of Edmonton.

We asked Pete and Kendra to share a little bit about what has been going on in Edmonton and what is coming up....

1. How is the Lord currently working in your ministry? - Just recently we have been able to create a group of leaders in the church to head up specific ministries (hospitality, prayer, first time visitor connections, + practical side of tearing down/setting up each week.)  We saw quite a bit of growth the month before all of this COVID19 hit, so we pray that once we are able to meet together again it will put more fire into the hearts of our congregation and in those that have taken church attendance for granted. 2) What are you looking forward to in the future in regards to the ministry? -Summer outreach! Every summer we do Church in the park & BBQ afterwords. It has always been a great outreach! -Hockey Outreach! We rent Ice time at the local rink and invite people to play hockey with some of the people in the Church! Its a great opportunity for us to share the Gospel!

Prayer Requests:

1. That our church will continue to grow even with the current coronavirus situation.

2. That the people and leadership in our church will remain encouraged during this very difficult time of job losses, economic uncertainty, and a frantic government, many are young in the Lord.

3. For God to continue to provide both practically and financial support as we weather this storm.

4. That many will come to faith because of this crisis - that friends and family of church members will be open to asking spiritual questions and receiving prayers and biblical encouragement.
