Prayer Requests & Praise Reports 2/19/21

Denise Carlsen - Northern Uganda and South Sudan

Praise:

  • Only been back 3 months, very busy! Nov opening up the compound after many months, vehicle, water, worker, etc. probs Then we had Christmas shopping and celebrations, many of them for the different orphans in and out of camps, and we had the 97 + police and their families bible Christmas Dinner! Jan was the resurrection of the huge tent for trainings, conferences, etc. We used prisoners to do it.

  • Found a great Sudanese pastor amongst them, and loaded him up with Bibles and teaching materials. He will come serve with us soon.

Prayer:

  • Most challenging in these 3 months has been preparing to get into the idp camps in South Sudan and also into Sudan during war and corona.

  • God is moving in the radio ministry. There are some problems regarding Muslims converting to Christians in some pockets here.

  • During all of this, God had a Christian radio station built across the street from me! Thinking 2 x's a week, one with Arabic translation and one with translation in local language.

  • Already have worship and some quick shares on favorite teaching bible verses! They will open soon hopefully in a couple of months. FIRST I GO TO SUDAN!!!! Wait until you see the pics of more of God's divine appointments!

Rajiv KC - Kathmandu, Nepal

Prayer:

  • Please pray as we go out to Kathmandu City to mid west ( Baglung city, 7-8 hours drive) for Pastor’s and Leader’s conference.

  • Pray for sweet time over there, for safety and for all leaders who will join that day.

  • Please keep continuing in prayer for my dad’s salvation, for youth ministry, worship, teaching and preaching, teaching at Bible college for one year discipleship course which will be starting from this March, keep praying for my own Master class, and coffee shop to start.

Mike and Sherill Sedillo, Naluko, Uganda

Praise:

  • Everything is going well with Sherill in Naluko.

  • Mike VanDeren was talking to someone about Hearts4Africa and that person wrote a check for $5,000. Mike V was not asking for money, he was just explaining about what's going on there right now.

Prayer:

  • Please pray for Mike VanDeren and Mike Sedillo. They'll be leaving for Uganda Tues, 2/23/21 out of LAX at 1:50 pm to oversee the solar installation.

  • Mike V and Mike S will return on March 11. Sherill will remain in Uganda until March 30th.

  • Please also pray that they can go through the tricky Covid protocol and get on board.

  • Also, Mike S has an old motorcycle foot injury that's been acting up that makes it hard to walk at times.

Charles and Levenia Jjagwe - Buwama, Uganda

Praise:

  • We thank God for the two brothers who joined us yesterday for one day of door to door evangelism where several people in the village heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and one person gave her life to Jesus Christ.

Pray:

  • Growth of new believers and salvation of more souls

  • God to break the bondage of witchcraft, sorcery and cult worship in the villages of Buwama

  • Courage of new believers to attend weekly discipleship classes and other church fellowships

  • Brian and his wife who have joined CC Buwama to serve with us. Brain used to visit us at Midigo when he was in the Bible college. God put a burden on his heart with his wife to come and serve with us. Also, his wife is pregnant expecting their first baby next month. Please pray for the safe baby delivery

  • An instrumentist to play the guitar during worship time as my daughter Esther who has been playing the guitar will be going back to school next week

  • God’s wisdom and leading as we lead the church and other ministries

  • Protection of my family and church against the angry witch doctors and religious conservatives

  • God’s provision for construction completion of the Clinic building which will be an expanded opportunity of sharing the gospel with the sick and their attendants.

Jon and Allison Brechtel - Oaxaca Mexico

Prayer:

  • Needs guidance on the construction of the treatment center.

  • Wants God to let them know if they are to raise funds or not. If so, how?

  • There are two lots next to the property that was donated. Both those lots would cost $12,000. Need direction on whether to purchase or not and provision.

Gary and Carol Kusunoki

Prayer:

  • Our prayer right now is for specific direction on what organization to partner with going forward. We have an opportunity to take Anchored International Relief, which has been doing business as a ministry of our church, and establish it as it’s own 501c3. Another option would be to go out under another organization. Both options have benefits, so we just need to know God’s will.

  • Our heart is to continue to minister to pastors and their wives, as well as help plant new churches in unreached areas. We also desire to continue police chaplain training, teach in our school of ministries, and support our missionaries worldwide in any way that God allows.

Cal and Jessica Stubner, Managua, Nicaragua

Praise:

  • Jessica is rejoicing to be back at school and teaching in-person again.

Prayer:

  • Pray for Jessica's school planning time. If she has to substitute teach, she loses that valuable time.

  • Continue to pray for Jessica's Creation series. One of the student's is an evolutionist. She got mad because Jessica isn't also teaching evolution.

  • Pray that the students would really love Sacha (the evolutionist) and not alienate her for her beliefs. That they'd truly love her with the love of God.

  • Pray that God would heal Jessica's ringing in her ears.

Paul and Elizabeth Johnson - Rwanda

Prayer:

  • They leave for Canada April 15th. They want to get far enough along with the construction that they can lock it down before they leave.

  • They may not go to Canada because of the strict Covid restrictions. There are mandatory 3-day stays at Covid hotels that may be costly. Then they will still have to quarantine, after the 3-days.

  • If they don't go to Canada, pray that Paul can get a Rwanda driver's license.

  • Please pray for their personal fatigue. They've been working nearly seven days a week (morning to dusk) since Fall of 2019. They're 95% complete, but they need a rest.

Mark and Isabelle Secor - Apache Indian Reservation, Arizona

Prayer:

  • Pray The Hope Center will reopen soon.

  • That the churches that have the open door to teach, would teach the word of God.

  • People would get saved, discipled, and walk in the ways of the Lord.

  • That the addictions of drugs, alcohol, porn and food would be broken.

  • Please pray for Chaplains in Tijuana. On March 20th, we are going to start training new Chaplains
