Juventine and Elizabeth Emuku, Soroti, Uganda

Prayers:

  • They've been without internet at home, the church, and at the hospital for the past 2-3 weeks. Pray they find another provider of the present internet provider will fix things.

  • Pray for the protection of his daughter, Jemima who returned to boarding school and is in her 3rd level of high school.

  • Pray for his other daughter Diana who has malaria, which is not going away. She's already had two treatments.

  • Pray for his wife Elizabeth who has a girl's disciple class of 14 to 19 year olds. They talk about purity issues (staying pure before the Lord) and forgiveness. They really want to see the girls impacted by the Lord. Right now a lot of girls are not going to school because they've been married off or pregnant.

  • Pray for the outreach coming up. The School of Ministry is going to support one of their church plants beginning the 27th. Pray that God will use them and protect them as we reach out to that village.

  • They haven't received funding for the School of Ministry the last two months. Funding is down by 40%. They have 21 students. Pray they are able to end the semester in May. Please be praying for that situation that they would get funding to continue to run the School of Ministry. Promise Child is still sending money, so that allows them to buy food and some school supplies and things like that to keep the school running.

  • Personally I think I am overwhelmed by what's going on. Trying to do things in the church, teaching the students, and trying to be a doctor at the same time. It's been overwhelming. Pray for wisdom. Maybe I should give up something to do the other. I need wisdom in that area.

Denise Carlsen - Northern Uganda and South Sudan

Prayer:

  • Prayers that God continues to open the doors and keep me safe if it is His will.

  • Prayers that I don't get stuck in South Sudan or Sudan. I got stuck in S Sudan in 2016 when the war broke out and MAF couldn't come and get me. That was a little scary! I don't want to do that again. I don't care to get stuck in Sudan with a shutdown. I do know there are risks, I do know that it is part of reaching unreached tribes with the gospel. If it was easy there would be more than 1% of missionaries in the 1040 window.

  • Especially need prayers for the 40 unreached tribes that need to hear about the love of God!

Punkaj & Tonielle Sarkar - Kathmandu, Nepal

Prayer Requests:

  • Bible College classes have started this week. Please pray for the students and teachers as they get back into the routine of meeting in person. Pray that the students will learn and grow in their knowledge of the Bible.

  • Pray for the students that graduated last week as they pray about what God has in store for them next.

  • School of Worship classes start back up next week. Please pray the students are able to commit to attending and that they finish strong the next 3 months before graduation. (This is the same group of students that started in 2019 but were not able to compete/graduate due to the lockdowns last year).

  • We are in the process of looking for a family car! By the grace of God, we were able to raise $10,000 on GoFundMe to help with a car. Unfortunately, due to the 260% ++ car taxes, we are finding that amount will not be enough to get a GOOD car out here. We are planning to use some of our missions savings plus a portion of the next stimulus check to help offset the amount we are short. Please pray for God to lead us to the perfect car and an honest person/dealership.

Jon and Allison Brechtel - Oaxaca Mexico

Praise:

  • Calvary Chapel Oaxaca just had their 2nd anniversary and about seven people were baptized.

  • The money they received for the treatment center will be expensed to the ministry and not to them as individuals.

  • Pedro, who's been a huge part of the church since the beginning is being ordained next Sunday.

Prayer:

  • Allison needs wisdom on when to start the Women's Bible Study because people are still afraid because of Covid.

  • That God would guide the process on the construction of the treatment center.

Luis and Karol Sanchez - Antigua, Guatemala

Prayer Requests:

  • Our church as we strengthen our different ministries.

  • Our students as they go through their classes. Four girls.

  • For Karol’s health, she has been having a mild hormonal change but now she is feeling much better.

  • For our children as they keep growing, so their faith grows in Christ too.

  • For provision for our family. God has been so faithful, we know He will be still everyday.

Rajiv KC - Kathmandu, Nepal

Prayer:

  • Keep praying for wisdom and humility to lead youths, teach and preach at church.

  • Keep praying for dad’s salvation,

  • Keep praying for the strength for my back so that I would be able to go different places in upcoming pastors and leaders training.

  • Teaching the book of Joshua at bible college so keep praying for the strength and knowledge.

  • My sister is going to have a corona test tomorrow so please lift her up in your prayers for protection from the Lord.

Cal and Jessica Stubner, Managua, Nicaragua

Praise:

  • Construction on the Sunday School building is 80% complete.

  • Jessica's school hired a principal, but he won't be starting until the next school year.

Prayer:

  • Jessica's apologetics class has ended, so there's not as much interaction with Sasha as before. Pray the door stays open for her to continue to share with Sasha.

  • Pray for Caleb, a senior who's become legalistic and confrontational with everyone and alienating everyone too. If Jessica is the one to speak to Caleb about his behavior, pray for an open door.

  • Pray we can get the children into the Sunday School building. It won't be ready this Sunday but hopefully the following Sunday. The rest of the work is mostly painting, patching the floor, and putting up the ceiling fans.

  • Jessica would like to go on a little trip with her co-workers and teachers. Pray that they can all come together to make this trip work.

  • For a construction worker named Yader, who's working on the Sunday School would come to the Lord.

Mark and Isabelle Secor - Apache Indian Reservation, Arizona

Prayer:

  • Mark's father is having shortness of breath. They think there's something going on with His heart.

  • That the reservation churches would teach the word of God without twisting it, adding to it or taking away from it.

  • People would get saved, discipled, and walk in the ways of the Lord.

  • That the addictions of drugs, alcohol, porn and food would be broken.

Paul and Elizabeth Johnson - Rwanda

Prayer:

  • They leave for Canada April 15th. They want to get far enough along with the construction that they can lock it down before they leave.

  • They may not go to Canada because of the strict Covid restrictions. There are mandatory 3-day stays at Covid hotels that may be costly. Then they will still have to quarantine, after the 3-days.

  • If they don't go to Canada, pray that Paul can get a Rwanda driver's license.

  • Please pray for their personal fatigue. They've been working nearly seven days a week (morning to dusk) since Fall of 2019. They're 95% complete, but they need a rest.

Irám and Mayra Perez Tijuana, Mexico

Prayer:

  • Please pray for Chaplains in Tijuana. On March 20th, we are going to start training new Chaplains

  • We are transitioning to online training program

  • We want to reach all police stations in Tijuana (5 out of 11 so far). We are expectant of what God is going to do next through this ministry in Mexico!

  • Pray for Mayra's pregnancy.

  • Pray for their living situation.

Gary and Carol Kusunoki

Prayer:

  • Our prayer right now is for specific direction on what organization to partner with going forward. We have an opportunity to take Anchored International Relief, which has been doing business as a ministry of our church, and establish it as it’s own 501c3. Another option would be to go out under another organization. Both options have benefits, so we just need to know God’s will.

  • Our heart is to continue to minister to pastors and their wives, as well as help plant new churches in unreached areas. We also desire to continue police chaplain training, teach in our school of ministries, and support our missionaries worldwide in any way that God allows.

Mike and Sherill Sedillo, Naluko, Uganda

Prayer:

  • Please pray for Mike VanDeren and Mike Sedillo. They're overseeing the solar installation.

  • Pray for the wisdom and provision of expanding the hospital.

Tim and Priscilla Ives - Chihuahua, Mexico

Prayer:

  • Please continue to pray for our family as we adjust to a new dynamic with a newborn in the home.

  • For homeschool for the older kids, that they would get back on track and caught up with their studies.

  • That God would provide the $25,000 for a building for the church.

  • That God would bless Roca Norte as we just recently returned to in-person services. That He would help us to keep improving the quality of the in-person services and the online transmissions.

  • That God would use Roca Norte to reach Chihuahuenses with the Gospel and make them disciples of Jesus.

  • That He would be glorified through the decisions we make as a family and a church.
